Dr Sketchy's Mystique

 Messing around with an old style of using Polychromos I love to do.

 This one was a themed, Mystique in the middle of transforming to something, I chose a bird.

These are the best 1 minute and 2 minute sketches I like thrown together.(not very well lol)

Hey Guys and Gals these are more Dr Sketchy Sketches, This was an amazing Mystique themed event where the model was body painted to look like Mystique.  Honestly I wish I had more time to paint to model because it looked so cool with more lighting I could have done something amazing.

Best Life Drawing of October

Here is my favorite Life Drawing of October, I like it mostly for the simplicity.  the figure was done very quickly but i took my like with the shading with the pen and am very happy with the way it came out.

Life Drawing October prt 2 2013

Hey guys, here is a quick five minute gesture.  I really like this sketch for its simplicity and line of action the goes from her feet all the way up to the shoulder.

Life Drawing "October 2013"

Here some more life drawing form October or September... I cant remember to well lol.  but I did the rough with the pan tone markers and used the Brush pen and Biro to ad the detail with semi blind drawing. These came out very well my fave is the top one because the black background ended up looking like a heart, it look very nice.

Life Drawing "September"

Hey guys here is some new Life Drawing, I started attending a life drawing class in the Eight Gallery Dublin on Dawson Street, in September and have done a lot of life drawing there so these are a few of the gestures that I liked.  I've been going on hard mode by using a Biro pen.  If I mess up the drawing is gone so I try to get a very loose gesture, I mostly mess up the faces but some of them are less than a minute pose to get down on paper.  The two colored images are Polychromo pencils on colored paper.  I try to work out the anatomy through lighting and use two light sources and the color paper will act as me shadow.  I haven't done this in a while so I need more practice. the top on was pan tone markers with Biro pen.

Here is more Dr Sketchy life drawing,  this months theme was Rocky Horror.  I used Brush Pens and Pro Markers and pens.  My Favorite one is the first one.  I think I really captured Frank well.  I added a couple of cations for fun.

Dr Sketchy's "Leather theme"

These are some Dr Sketchy's Dublin life drawing class, I honestly can't remember when this was from, it was some time during the summer.  The theme was leather.  I used fin liners and brush pens,  I really like the way the top and bottom ones came out, I really wanted to get the shine from the leather in the image and the brush pen worked really well.  My favorite one is the first one.

More life drawing, I have more to put up but the were to big for the scanner so i'll use my camera later on, but I really like the lighting i got with these ones.  I used Poly Chromo pencils and the came out nice.

More Lifedrawing

Here are some of my latest life drawings that I really like.  The color scheme I tried with the color pencils were really nice.  I was trying to achieve a certain look.  The very top one is my favorite, I used pan tone markers to create a water color effect. I have a few more to put up but the were to big for the scanner.  let me know what you think.

New figure study, have not done it in ages and I thought this page turned out okay, I might color this, tell me what you think.

Dr Sketchy's lifedrawing class 3

3rd life drawing class at Dr Sketchy.  it was good, themed with the wizard of oz and got some good sketches, my favorite it the very top one, really got the pose and face right. it was hard to get the make up on the witch right, the make was amazing.

This is my second lifedrawing class with dr sketchys that i did about a week ago, the theme was black and white costume, I did a series of 30 second poses and 1 minutes and so on,  it was challenging to get the textures of the clothing right.  I used pencil fine line pens, pro makers and brush pens.

Here is some over due life drawing I wanted to put on my blog.  the top is my favorite scribble drawing.  I used a black gel pen.  the other are pen, charcoal and color pencils.
