Love is Blind 2013

Hey guys and gals.



HappyValentines Day, this is my final year film Love is Blind.  I did it back in 2013 and have been letting it go out to a few festivals over the last couple years but now its finished going around and has found a happy home here :).  What a better time to share it than Valentines Day, so if you like a silly romantic comedy you found it.

Silk Road Film Festival 2014

Love is Blind was shown in the Silk Road Film Festival on the 23 of march 2014.  lots of people showed up and the film got lots of laughs.  So I illustrated this image of Medusa and Ti in the photos of the festivals.  Unfortunately I didn't have a camera for the Film Fleadh so I though I'd start with this festival with my little sisters camera,  I kinda wanted to do something Like this for a while now.  I used photo show to impose Medusa and Ti into the photo, giving them more fleshed out Lighting and shadows to Make it look Like there in the Shot and added a little film grain and a tint.  It was very difficult to do this because to the flash of the camera but hopefully you like it, I'm definitely gonna try to do more soon so stay tuned.

Were going to the Fleadh!!

Love is Blind will be show in the Galway Film Fleadh tomorrow at 12 o clock, I'll be attending the event.  If your going to maybe I'll see you there.  It is a great achievement to get into the Galway film Fleadh this yeah last year to with Phoenix Medium Rare and very happy to be apart of it.

Here are some still screen shots from the film.  There also the backgrounds that look better with the Characters in the shot, one is a parody of something you might know, if you know what it is leave a comment.  I only picked three screen shots so I don't spoil the film.  My favorite one is the last one there was a lot of heavy compositing in this shot, and I like it the most.

Here are a few of the best Backgrounds in the film, some of the other backgrounds look better as stills with the Characters so I'll post the later on. The first pan is not in the final film but its still really good and took a lot of effort to make.  I used Corel Painter to make all the Backgrounds.

I finished my final year film "Love is blind" this is the picture I made for the poster and DVD Menu.  I'll be putting up more concept art, layout and a couple of stills of the film at some stage in the near future.  Thanks to everyone who supported me.

Love is Blind concept art

"Love is Blind" is the Title of the new Student film that I have been working on since September.  Its my final Year film and am in the middle of the production.  Its about Medusa trying to find love, that is all I'll say for now.  Below is some of the concept art and model sheets of the character.

Her tail is not quite right but its just to show how long her tail is.

This is the very first sketch of the character, I was thinking of doing it in Flash, but i don't know flash well enough to make a film so I changed it to suite the animation and also the age group of the viewers. I'll be putting up more in different posts so check them out to.  There is a lot more concept for this film that i will share.
